It's been done plenty of times.
Not dangerous,it's just that the reds are a set damper rate and the yellows have adjustable rebound.

Will be fine :)

As above

Its been done plenty of times and is not a danger to yourself (actually some people prefer it)

ah okay, so the reds have the inability to change the height?
Why do people prefer it?

Why do people prefer it?

Autox i guess

Might just be because its cheaper that way or because its easier to source whichever gets damaged first/the most

Reds are cheaper, and not as stiff.

Reds are adjustable, but you have to have the damper off the car and off the spring, fully compress it and then turn the shaft in the damper body, just like with some Yellows (like the rear ones on my CB7 (it's so boring!).

In essence, Reds are exactly the same as Yellows but softer rated and minus the external adjuster.

I had tokico blues in the front and adjustible whites in the rear for drag racing. Perfect.

it was fine. I had a LOT of suspention work done. It was set up for drag, but I drove it daily. The rear was VERY stiff.
