hey guys
just want some opinions on what you would choose if you had a choice between s2000 leather seats (red) or recaro's from the dc2r (red).
Pros and Cons from experience will help aswell
Also, what price should I be paying for them if their in decent condition ?
thanks

(PS. I hope this thread is in the right section) :)

S2000 leather seats do not hug your shoulders like how the DC2R's Recaros do.

Yeh, you really got to weigh it up for youself. If I had a choice, I'd choose the DC2R recaros. I love em.

thats tru
im just an average size guy so i dont think that would be toooo much of an issue.
i can get a pair of s2000 seats for 650 so im sorta working out whether it would be worth it to get them or save up more to get dc2r recaros

recaro > s2k seat

depends on what you plan on using them for though

Personally S2k>Recaro

IMO the recaro's hug your shoulders and ass better (depending on your size) so if you're going for track days/late night runs then Recaro>S2k

but otherwise S2k>Recaro

IMO go buy the s2k seats NAO and sell them for a small Profit then go get yourself some recaro's (once again depending on what you will be using the car for)

Maybe try out the s2k seats and a Recaro seat, weigh it up with experience then decide

ill be using them mostly for daily driving
havent been to the track with my car coz its not that flash performance wise.

Id say S2k seats then

They do grab somewhat but not near as much (or as good) as the recaro's

For the street, the S2000 seats will be more than enough. Even the stock DC4 seats are good enough. haha. If you were tracking it, go Recaro. But if you are not like you said, then get the one that you find is more comfortable.

thanks for the advice
main reason why im goin for new seats is the material started ripping and foam is starting to pop out lol

s2000 seats are slippery and u slide around in them going around corners
sr3 recaros are the go hands down
s2000 seats are the go in the s2000 as the cabin is so tight

For me, recaros > s2k seats.

Anything leather in the summer is a pain... prone to cracking, fading.. HOT AS HELL when under the sun, and sticks to ur legs, ass and back if you're naked :p

^ makes sense.. altho
i was always under the impresssion that since the s2k seats have been made for a smaller car (cabin wise), the seats would be tighter due to the restricted space ..
maintanence wise is there anything to worry about the recaro bolsters creasing and possibly rippng ?

everyones goner have their own opinion. it would be best to think about your actual needs. if i was in ur situation i would go s2000 seats for a daily and luxury, plus not many ppl have them. but if u were to focus more on handling/tracking then id go recaros

ive decided to get the s2k seats...
ill fit em in and use them for a while and see how it feels, if i like them ill keep it, if not ill sell them and go on to some recaro's :)

good idea, especially if u can pik up a pair 4 $600... ive never driven an s2k but hav sat in it n i rekon the seats r nice n snug anyway, id say more comfy 4 longer drives plus theres no way u can get "friendly" with a girl in the recaros (leather's easier 2 clean if u make a mess lol)

Surprisingly you can get the bolters and parts of the seats from the UK on Ebay. Not toooo much. Worth doing if you want to fix up your Recaros.

IMO S2K seats looks sexxxy from the out side. But ive been on em, are kinda slippery like that dude said.

Also ive seen a pair of S2k's in a civic, on the passanger one, where ur ass goes, it was all cracked and shitty looking. i duno why... miss treated ? Sun damage ? not sure. But it fully put me off the seats
