After getting stuck on a speed hump with my mum in the car, and coppin a nice backhander and a hour blasting from her, iv decided enough is enough and i am raising my car...

im wanting new springs, but dont know if i should go 2" or 2.5" i want it to sit with 1 finger gap between the tyre and the gaurd...

If you have this amount gap on your ek, or 2" or 2.5" drop, can you please post some pics, and the details of how low you have gone, and whats springs so i can get a nice idea before i go blow money on springs...

thanks heaps guys

How low is your car currently??

I found this picture of an EK with 17" rims. I'm not sure how much that is lowered by though. Maybe 2" or 1.5"? But it looks like a finger's width in the guard.

My car has been lowered about 4", my cat is about 4cm to the ground! As much as i love it, and love the look... for sydney roads, its not that practical... plus im ganna start some engine work so i wanna be about to put my foot down without worring about pot holes and bumps!!!

steve.. i tell u now. 2.5" is perfect, it will HARDLY ever scrape. 2" is not enuff.. with 2" its about 1.5 finger gap, 2.5" its about 0.5 finger gap, and on my 16's, it doesnt scrub at all...
2.5 !!!

that black civic is sitting on the grass so it would look low! try having it on the concrete there'll be a big difference.

My EK1 is lowered by 2 1/2 and no problems... ill post some pics when i get my JDM tails and fogs nxt wk.

My gf's car (Blue EK CTR Civic) has 2.5" drop and has 16" wheels. the setup is very similar to luzinits but using different sussy components
pls note though... that a stereo will weight the rear wheels down..

cheers..

The stereo sure does, my rear is sitting much lower than the front cause of two 12" subs and amp sitting in there.

How much do you want for them? 40mm is about 1.5 inches isn't it? Will they fit a '99 Civic?

nah im a pretty good driver with a car this low... this is my first car and i dumped it afew weeks after i got it, so i never really driven my car much high?
I dont have that many problems, but if i gotta go over a bump, it scraps..

i even scrape on the white square deviders that divide the lanes, the little reflector things!!

Perry

Alpine

Does anyone know if King Springs make a 1.5" drop spring?? A shop told me today that Kings only come in either a 1" drop or 2" drop, nothing inbetween, for a Honda Civic. I'm pretty sure that's bullshit, so someone correct me if I'm wrong.
