iv noticed that the EK civic steering seems really light, abit too light making steering seem very unresponsive. How is other ppl find it? is this normal?
im really considering just getting rid of p/s, but for a trial what temp options are there? would leaving the p/s belt for a week do any dmg?

Take the P/S Fluid out and possibly belt out

That should give you a idea of what it will be like

I dont imagine there would be much (if any) damage

But i will leave that part to the Experts

thanks for the input, after driving the fd civic for abit the handling seems so much better on it with a heavier steer, than the double wishbone sussy ek with swaybars and coilovers lol

Noooo.

The PS fluid lubricates the rack, long term reliability will be sacrificed.

Take the power steering pump belt off. It's nice and driving speed but bicep building at parking speeds.

There are a few threads on removing the PS pump and looping the hoses around about. Try honda-tech.com.
