Someone stole my bag and along went the keys and remote to my civic. I've got a new set of keys cut and I found my second remote last night. Now I only have one remote.
From reading the other threads, people that have lost their keys and remote with no back up needed to get new keys cut and change the alarm system. Since I still have an original remote, can I somehow get a copy made?
Thanks

I have the same problem. Only one remote and if I lose them I'm stuffed.
Someone said that I need to find out what alarm I have to get a copy.
If you live near a Mr Minit or whatever that shop is called, I have heard they have started to duplicate remotes for Commodores and are waiting for the equipment to be able to do the same with Honda ones. Apparently the Honda ones are at a higher frequency, or atleast mine was, so they couldn't do it. They could read the frequency but it was too high to duplicate (I'm not a professional so don't take this 100%).
Next time I go to the shop I will find out if they can do it now. You from Sydney?

the ones above are the keyless entry remotes, as panda[crx] says you can obviously get them from honda, but aftermarket alarm remotes you need to get a replacement for that specific alarm brand. I think i saw replacement remotes for mongoose alarms at autobarn, cant remmeber if there were for other brands. but where ever you got your alarm from should be able to provide a replacement.
