View Full Version : Bee R limiter Dc2
Hey guys, just wondering has anyone ever used these on their cars?
And what are the advantages and disadvantages the Bee R limiter.
Any information would be helpful
cheers

Don't do it.
the bee*r limiter cuts ignition, but still lets fuel flow. so raw fuel goes into the cylinder, it might start to ignite from compression/heat (same deal as detonation) then you have an unpredictable flame/flow going through the turbo... after time, it will screw the impeller blades
The effect on non-turbo cars would probably be similar.. Detonation.
Anyone confirm?

WTF is a Bee R limiter?

^Its a limiter which cuts ignition, but not fuel, as opposed to one that cuts fuel and just dry-sparks.

friend uses it in his s14, i like it, he likes it and it comes in handy wen ur at the skids because u usually hit limiter too often wen drifting. back fires quite abit.

yeh they sound good, but aren't the best for engines, i have had mates use them without any probs..............but they havn't heard good things about them, appart from being able to adjust they way it bounces off the limiter............like u can set it to bang bang bang really fast or just bang bang slowly............lol

doesnt detonation occur from A/F ratio being too lean? if anything, its safer to have an ignition cut rather then a fuel cut

will the back fire burn the material inside the muffler ?
if yes , means the user will change the muffler at the time... ;)

The heat inside the combustion chamber would be hot enough to ignite the fuel anyway me thinks..

... doesnt more fuel create a cooler effect?
i think you might be referring to pre-ignition and not detonation...

I doubt a complex molecule like Octane could combust with just normal heat. I think it would need a high flash point, like the temp of a spark the plug gives out.
More fuel does cool the engine aswell.

^^^ do u mean petrol should have a low flash-point and high auto-ignition temp?
