Easy to install?
anyone got it on their car-
does it need to be retuned after it has been installed?
like a dyno tune or sumting i dunno-
ummm yup-
gonna put it on a an accord

its just a display unit that taps into ur ecu to read out speed, revs and other stuff.
looks crazy hot.

vafc.. or another similar piggy back computer system would require a tune + dyno..

ALthough I think you have to do some minor settings like telling it how many cylinders you have, what your engines pulse is, stuff like that, more calibration than anything.

rsm only displays info.. if you have to get one of those, get the vafc instead.. more useful yeah

VAFC mopre useful but then needs to be tuned to it, man the RSM is for sexi looks baby ^_^

ok, i called "cartoys" today and aked them a few questions-- like prices and what the "VTEC adapter" was.. da guy said i needed it if i wanted to give proper readings and to also allow some of the other functions to work.. was he blabbering shit or is it true|?

I had an RSM in my previous car that I fitted myself.
Was a matter of finding a wiring diagram for it (wasnt one in the book provided) and hooking up four wires straight to the ECU.

I guess you wanna make sure that youve got everything sussed with the wiring before starting, dont wanna stuff it up and fry the ECU.

I havent had the balls to hook the RSM up in the Euro, and if anybody is interested in buying it, PM me.

ah its simple only 3 wires just had no time during the day to do the wires-- ive already marked them -- but yeah didnt wanna cut nothing at night time-- even though there was sum light.. but not enough u know-

i did not cut the wires completly, but got this tool that stripped back the plastic around it and soldered rsm on That way if something goes wrong with the wiring when driving (not that it will) but your ecu will always be connected.

ok i have installed my RSM, it actually got quite hot today whilst driving...i noticed there was something wrong when i got home and looked at the rev-- it was wayy off--- then when i checked the options it was saying i had 6 cylinders instead of 4-- which i know i have chnaged to 4 already why isnt my settings being kept...
is this device suppoise to get quite warm...? hot but safe to touch--- :S im quite afraid it may cause some damage... information required thanks.

yeah the unit is getting quite hot- its umm damn how do i explain...
kinda where the centre console is in one of the lil compartments sorta standing up -- where the lil cigarette lighter thing and where the ashtray is it-- yeah== there...

ok well it isnt getting hot much no more-- weirddd-- but the memory keeps on resetting... and i dont know why-- its not my wiring.. must be my unit???
