WTFWTFWTFWTF LOL HAHAHAHAH

sorry but 235/35/18? <--- YOU SAID YOU WERE PUTTING 19" AND THEY ARE 18"

okay mate, 19x8 +45 preferrably without any trouble you will prob have to run 235/30/19 to run it without scrubbing or anything.

This has been covered a while ago.
Please use the search function.

Sorry my mistake, 20" should be 30.

19" with profile 35 should be fine.
235/35/19 would fit not sure about 40, might be pushing it unless you roll your guards also and you prob want to keep the car stock without cutting the guards right?

trying to find the wheel thread for you.

use a tire size calculator (http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp?action=submit)

tire size calculator won't help with if his going to scrub his guards and wheel well/suspension assembly.

Don't do it.

as johnL said, don't do it, i think 18x7.5 or 8 would be most suitable with a dumping would look rather nice than overly large and when dumped you need to roll your guards cause they won't fit.

Using the tire calc, is it realli that different having 235 instead of 225? in terms of speedo variation. Same specs as OP, 19x8 +45.

Even 18" is too much rim IMO. Bad effects of 235 tyres on an 18" rim will be; harsher ride, too little sidewall compliance, tramlining, torque steer, potential rim damage, excessive rim weight (i.e. unsprung and rotational), poor handling on less than perfectly smooth surfaces...

The reason why you see such large rims on some racing cars and some very high performance road cars is in order to be able to fit huge brakes inside the wheel. The very short sidewalls are actually (in most instances) counterproductive to maintaining the contact patches at the largest possible size (with dynamic camber changes, and over irregular surfaces etc), because the tyre casing is just too bloody stiff. The large OD rims are a compromise in order to have exceptional braking capability.

Besides, unless you fit larger brakes, with very large OD rims the stock brakes just look silly, lost in the void of the larger rims.

Tyre width will not affect speedo accuracy. It's the tyre/wheel diameter that will affect it.

And please stop throwing around profile ratios without at least mentioning the width of the tyre. They're related, you know.

And as for OP, No idea. Dry fitting your wheels (sans tyres) will give you an idea of what tyres you can use.

Ahhkaiz, twas just with the tyrecalc i used, with the 235 it was 2.4% speedo diff, and with the 225 it was 1.3% diff. Thats all, jsut wondering how that worked out. Oh yeah, setup is for 19x8 +45 n umm, 2??/35/19 since i have 2 choices atm. Sorry for that mate.

That's cool. The figures would have changed because the width changed, but the profile stayed the same.

For example, a 235/45/19 tyre will mean that the sidewall is 45% of the tyre's width (or something like that).
