dc5s semi-automatic

i am thinking of getting a dc5s and wondering if the semi-automatics are any good? Do they have any problems and how is the performance compared to the manuals?

dc5s do not come in auto, manual only. only base and luxury come in auto

i thought dc5s was the luxury version. maybe you are thinking of the dc5r.

ahh no. DC5R and DC5S come in MANUAL ONLY. You are thinking of Base or Luxo model. The DC5 has a face lift around 2004, and because the Type S looks like the Base and Luxo (because it dosn't have the Type R wing) everyone thinks they are all the same.

nah man luxury version only comes in semi automatic and manual , the dc5 S only comes in manual. the dc5S dosent have a wing just a boot lip

the base model dc5 manuals are faster than the auto

So how do you tell the difference between an S and and a luxury. They look almost identical.

They do look very similar, and I think the main visual exterior differences are:
- 5 spoke, 17" wheels on the typeS vs. 12 spoke, 16" on the luxury
- A rear lip only on the typeS
- Lower ride height on the type S
- "Type S" badging on the rear bootlid and the front grille
- Different front lip(?), side skirts (and rear lip?) on the type S

Also if you can see that it's got an auto shifter, then you'll know that it's a luxury (unless the owner swapped the manual out :S)

id rather and S over the R only if it came in auto cause im lazy lol. either way insurance would of killed me though
