Hey guys
Recently I put my standard throttle body back in and my standard ECU.

My VTEC won't engage anymore and I can't figure out the problem!

I have an Error Code showing on the dash which indicates it is the TPS.

Can a TPS sensor cause vtec not to work?

tps should be adjsuted to 0.45 volts
and 4.5ish at wot

too many decimal places...

0.45v closed
4.5v full throttle

Make sure you turn you key to acc...

If you have hondata or some other datalogging programming.. makes it easier to read... if not just use the good old multimeter.

yep 100% the tps need to be calibrated... vtec wont kick in if its not because the standard computer is designed to make vtec kick in after 50% throttle i think it is... so if your tps is not working or not calibrated then it wnt read more then say 40% throttle to the ecu and theferefore vtec wont kick in... any mechanic can do it for you... try it your selff im sure theres plenty of write ups about how to do it..

But my TPS has never been removed from this throttle body.
When i bought the spoon one it came with all the sensors so it was just off with the OEM and on with the spoon!

make sure you havent plugged the MAP sensor into the TPS and vise versa

the TPS may be damamged from the throttle body laying around in your shed or something, if it got hit hard ect

test your TPS
