View Full Version : Car makes noise when reversing and turning
Hey guys, just recently bought an 1994 EG5 VTi Civic, has done about 270 000 km's. took it out for a spin tonight and realised that it makes a clicking noise while reversing and turning at the same time. it only happens while turning, not while reversing in a straight line. is a something i should be worrying about? it's a manual by the way

seems like its from CV joint?
get a mechanic check it out for you

yea, sounds like CV boot may have cracked and lube leaked out.
if u go to drive shaft specialist quickly, you could get a new boot and replace the lube if the drive shaft isn't too damaged.
cheaper than getting a new drive shaft.
Good luck
Is the sound coming from the front or back?
A good indication your boots are gone is when you can smell oil burning when you're stopped (grease from the boots leaking onto the hot disk brakes)
