gasket problem

hey people im having one major problem......

i have a d16y1 head and i bought a d16y1 intake gasket for it ( head gasket blown)...
anyways the intake manifold gasket doesnt line up...
All the bolts line up except the centre....

can anyone tell where im going wrong thanks...

you said that you have a D16y1 head, do you have a different block?
or is D16y1 is your original engine of the car? otherwise they should line up perfectly.

intake gasket is nothing to do with the block..not connected in anyway.
the only thing i can think of is you either have the wrong gasket - suited to another d series engine or you might even have the thing back to front or upside down lol

is that the VRS kit you got ? (in the link) - because its is for a d15 not a d16

no i have the d16y1 head original head exactly the same as the one out of Weqs motor...

ye but thats the exact same gasket that i got in my kit... Thats why i thought that it might be different can someone post a pic of the gasket im supposed to have please.

nope tried it upside down, inside out, and back to front still nothing...

has anyone had a problem with finding a d16y8 gasket i found out that oz records dont seem to supply it only the d16y1 and there is a difference with where the coolant flows through...
