Hey guys.
Am in a bit of a pickle. My boot was opening and closing fine late last week, but come Sunday it wouldn't open.
I remote unlock it, and then use the latch at the hatch itself to open it but it feels like the latch itself isn't pulling back.
Has anyone had this problem? Is there any other magical way to open the boot. I have looked and it doesn't look like there is anything obstructing the latch.
Cheers

So you can't open the boot what so ever?
Auto-release mech broken?
There should be a auto release somewhere in the boot... somewhere...

try crawling ur way to the boot and opening the little plastic flap where the external handle would be located, and try fiddling around with it, if u know wat i mean.

Ok had a go at it this arvo.
First off tried pushing down hard on the hatch itself and pulling the lever thing. The level would go about halfway. But then just seem stuck.
So folded down the back seats and in i hoped. Took off a plastic bit, had a search around, found a white switch, but figured out it was the permanent lock and it was definitely NOT ON.
Couldn't see much else. Tried looking for another release cord. But nothing.
So i have come to the conclusion that the latch may be pushed down too far and no allowing the hook to come fully free of it.
Am downloading the workshop manual as i type, so will check it out.
This is definately not normal.
Has your car been in a rear end accident?

No it hasn't. It was opening and closing fine for like the whole year.
Previous owner (best mate) and I did move the actual latched (on the car, not the hatch), moved it down a tad further as to stop slight rattles. This was in January.
And I can't take the plastic off, because to take the plastic off, i need to have the boot open.
Have had a check in the workshop manual and it doesn't seem to offer an assistance.
