Ya best bet is to search the US forums. There are heaps of guys running various Nitrous kits (NOS is a brand -Like Panadol  ).

75 shot wet or dry kits seem to hold up with stock internals anything more need a bigger bottom end. Also, need colder plugs and maybe bigger injectors.

Check out honda-tech.com and superhonda.com that will give you a good indication of what does/doesn't work.

As far as kits in Aus.... Theres a few places that sell kits with installation manuals which a knowledgable mechanic should have no trouble with, otherwise, get a kit shipped from the US.

ask pornstar about this as he is mr n2o here last time i checked (he did a good writeup about it a while ago, i did a search for it but it didn't come up)

When I was thinking about doing this I was tending towards a zex kit (they seemed to be relaticvely easy to install and rasonably idiot proof compared to most of the others)

but yeah, do some reasearch, i think i was looking at about 1.2k for the kit landed (not including what ever customs may charge me)

most US based forums say a rule of thumb is to buy the nitrous kit with half the hp your car currently has... eg. 100hp car ---> buy a 50hp ntirous kit.

its not so much the kit, its the diapghram size thats important cos that is the main regulator of the amount of nitrous used per spray.

the "shot" that is commonly referred is just a measurement, what it measures is the amount of hp worth of nitrous added. ie a 75 shot is a 75hp worth of nitrous injected into the cylinders.

ive put 100hp shot thru the b motor quite easily and its been fine.

you'll find that you don't have to import a nitrous kit from the states.
They are relatively cheap here in aus 800 - 1200 supplied and fitting usually costs from 200-400. But u can do it yourself cheapies.

Just remember that like any power adder, the car must be tested to make sure it's running correct mixtures. Running the car up on a dyno and checking the air fuel ratio is prob. the best method. Providing the mixtures don't lean out too much, engine should be able to cope fine with an additional 75hp.

The stock fuel system can only provide a certain amount of extra fuel (75hp is prob. the limit). After that you really need a secondary fuel pump, adding fuel and nitrous oxide at the same time (wet system).

The best kits that i've seen is the MPFI kits, basically the nozzles sit between the fuel injector and fuel rail, and add extra fuel and nos into the fuel rails.

would you have to change the spark plugs too?
'colder' spark plugs to suit nitrous.

check it out further as ive head this before, that NX kits give u 25hp less then the shot. where NOS kits give exact NOS/HP ratio, if that makes sensor. search the topic on gogole.
