hey guys, need some advice if you can help!!!
i drive a dc2 vtir and
got defected this morning for my exhaust and aem v2 intake ( it wasnt enclosed ) mind you ive been pulled over many times before and never had a problem.....
ive been ringing around to find a blue slip repairer and spoke to a few about the defects, the cop ticked full inspection on the notice and a couple guys have said they will need the car dropped off as they need to go over EVERYTHING. my car is also lowered and has 17's, they said these things may have to come into play aswell upon inspection... has anyone been in the same situation?

I got defected before... no sticker, but the "Full inspection" box was ticked.

Yes if you have to get a Blue Slip, which you do, everything will need to be legal. Change everything back to stock. It's the easiest way.

good luck.

It doesn't matter. ANYTHING aftermarket is defectable.

I got defected for Spoon front strut brace, and Mugen Air box, and grounding kit - along with other things. The mugen is fully enclosed.

no yellow or red boxed ticked, but full inspection ticked..... i guess il have to find standard springs.... the cop said if enclose the pod filter its legal, i might go to a few blue slip places tommorow and see what they say ie: what they would accept as a pass roughly ,and just go with whoever is the most easy going.... not much i can do i suppose... thats life

thanks 4 the help guys, you wouldnt have any company names?
i seen a guy this morn near my work at minto and he said as long as the car isnt lower than 100mm and the exhaust is fixed ( i have a quiet axle back one at home ) and i make a box to surround the pod filter which sits behind my front right blinker im fine....
i might have to get stock springs though... if you get coilover suspension is that a defect?

oh snap lol that would suck

17s should still be legal, cant see why they come into play cuz they are within 2" of stock which im lead to believe = legal. correct if im wrong

in regards to the wheels, standard is 15x6, the rules state the wheel WIDTH cannot not be over 1 inch wider, so 17x7 is fine... one less thing i have to do!!, just got under my car aswell and checked the height and its pretty much 100mm of the ground ( give or take a mm ) so hopefully that works out good 2, just either have to get a stock airbox or make up a box to go around the pod....
