Hi,

Just booked myself a used white 05 Accord Euro Lux model from a local dealer. Pretty good price i would say...everything original. (Not sure if i can mention the $$ here) :)
Pic here http://farm4.dealernet.com.au/stock/20080804/12564AE8D85042A89DF67D116812A554.jpg

only 69k on the odo, balance 2yr ext warranty (or i think the balance of the 40k).not sure...
Just a couple of question;
1. Is this the MY05 accord euro model as i notice it was the 17" rims instead of the 16"? Notice My06 is different. Also has a full size spare.
2. How can I transfer the balance of the ext Honda warranty of this car to me? Honda website says its transferable.
3. I'm looking for an insurance to go with the car, for me so far AAMI, RACQ gave me cheap quotes <600. NRMA ~800. Still searching. Dealer will get 3 more quotes for me. Anyone good for damage on windscreen (stone chip etc)?

Can't wait to get my hands on it...
Any advice? :)

Cheers,
Justin

1. Its definitely an MY05 Luxury model. You can tell by the spoilers and grill and metalic lip on the hood, and non-blue side indicators.
Only the base model and MY03 (and MY04?) lux models came with 16". Strange how it has a full sized spare, I thought that was introduced in the MY06 model

In your Service Log Book, towards the back pages you will find a "Change of Registered Owners" form. Fill that and post it off, that will update Hondas record.

It shouldn't really matter too much as the extended warranty is attached to the vehicle not to a person.

23k is a fair price I think. Personally, the KM's are a little high for my liking on a 3 year old car. The national average is approx 15,000 km's per year so 3 years should make it around 45,000km. Yours is 69,000 so a little high.

As long as its got full service history though, it should be fine.

Nope, that came in with the MY05, along with other minor running changes (and the change in colour availability from Ruby Red to Milano Red).

The Lux got those rims for the MY05 only (and they were later fitted to the Limited and the Sport in 06). The MY06 was the major facelift with new rims, bumpers, lights, grille, steering wheel, trip computer, etc etc.

its an auto...

yeah i know its not a manual..spent a lot of time in manual, still prefer the auto because of the comfort and pleasure i get not needing to worry about slope stops or high traffic areas..

Looks like a nice car, looks like it's in good condition, kms a little bit high for my liking but not really a problem if it has logs.
