it would be a quick warranty job... you won't have to pay.

But yeah it might be quicker to just do it yourself.

most likely it's still under warranty right, so i suggest u ask dealer to fix it up if that's factory defect. unless course u caused that accidentally.

Just call up your Honda Dealer and tell them your window is jamming or not closing properly.

Honestly when I got mine fixed it was basically a 2min job, sprayed some lubricant in the window and I was outta there.

They probably won't charge anything for it, I mean you could just ask them if it'll cost anything beforehand.

Maybe they do charge you, try a different dealer.

back to the dealer, quick job, won't charge you any cents, it's a common flaw for the current civic~

It could be that the glue has come off the glass & the clips holding them. or it might need a bit of a lube. If u are going to lube it use graphite powder, its dry and won't leave sticky residue (u can pick it up at a auto store for about $10)

it's a common issue with the FD civics. you can either lube it yourself or take it to a dealer and they will clean and lube the run channel for you, it will take 5-10mins MAX

the reason it's not closing is because of the increased resistance when closing the anti entrapment feature of the window thinks something is blocking the window so it opens up again.

it's also a good preventative measure for FD owners to request their dealer to clean and lube the front run channels when their car is in for service. that way you wont get stuck anywhere trying to close your window

lol this happened to me once, i was even goin to post about it. my front pasanger window would go up, checked everything, even the fuse box and was about to pull the inside door apart too, then i noticed i accidently put the window on child lock >_<"

make sure you check this before pulling things apart.

Best lube to use one the window channel is Vaseline, you don't need much and don't put so much on your finger to get big blobs in the channel, otherwise you will get greasy crap all over the edge of the window. This type of white petroleum jelly lasts the longest on the seal and keeps it moist and running smoothly even after it rains.

yeah what sinful said is true. very common problem.
the wipers are a common issue to. it is a flaw with the new wiper design which wears them out very quickly

ahmondjai

but wouldn't WD40 hurt your rubber?

I use silicon spray for the rubber for the windows. I think it's about 15 bucks. It lubricates rubber and protects it. I was speaking to Rick D mechanics and they use the same on their windows. That's y i bought a can..

yeah silicone spray is quick fix

i did use the spray and it worked for a while but eventually it got jammed again

took it back to dealership to get it done and haven't had problems since.

have a can of silicone spray ready, its handy especially when i used it for my dc2's sunroof
