i searched but eh..couldn't find the info.

2 way height adjustable coilovers will give you close to that much.

4" drop is too much anyway

if you drop the car 4" your going to screw the suspension geometry and the car will probably handle worse than before. try 1-2" max unless you change the suspension completely

for stock type-R it only goes 1.5 inch maximum lower, i think 3 on EG will give you uncomfortable and less performance at the same time

I'm not very familiar with Civics, but my mate has an EG, and the rear suspension bump travel seems quite short even at the stock height. Wouldn't any substantial lowering mean that you're likely to be bottoming out the rear end a LOT, unless you fitted very stiff springs and possibly short body dampers?

In any case, a 4" drop seems quite excessive, and as 'thepope' suggests is likely to mess with the suspension geometry and result in at least somewhat strange handling...

If you change the angles of the wishbones a lot (as will happen with a large drop) then the 'instant centres' of the 'virtual swing arms' will change position and the virtual swing arms will become shorter, and also the loctaion of the instant centres will change position with any suspenion deflection more so than they would at a higher ride height.

The upshot of this is that this would cause the location of the roll centre to change location (posssibly quite a lot and quite abruptly) with any suspension movement (including roll motion), which may cause a sudden change in the distribution of weight transfer, which could result in 'difficult' handling.

guys the drop is purely aesthetic . He dont care how the car handles after or how long parts last , he just wants to drive around with a dumped car.

y dont u just bagg it. then u can raise and lower the height of ur ride at will
then u can have an extremely low car and roll with the minitruckers

providing u dont live in qld in which it is illigal and id stay with coilovers

but then again its much more expencive to bagg a car
