LOL not cheap is an understatement! I'd be surprised if anyone will fork out $1600 AUD for the gruppe M intake shipped to oz. More value in buying a decent cat-back for that kinda money IMO

dont know where you got $1600 from?

says 100000 yen + 15000 yen shipping = 115000
with current rates, about AU$1350.

this is rrp aswell, im sure you could get a better price by emailing them like some members have done.

I was told at least $1.5k shipped to oz. Obviously you haven't considered taxes and duties in your equation.
"Shipments will normally be delivered 2-3 weeks.
You have to pay tax of your country at your end."

10% GST alone would account for $135 extra.. go figure..

why wouldn't anyone pay that sort of money for this?
I remembered when the DC5 intake was $1500, people still bought it.

+ taxes and duities.

dc5 people still buy it because it makes real gains. If you want real gain for your fn2 than get this because all the other sri or cai such as aem, k&n. they wont make any real gain, probably only a few hp at the top end but you will have alot of flat spots and loose power downlow

do u have one? and can verify this? or making a statement?

EDIT: i have one of these, need someone in sydney (pref) to participate on putting it into there car and taking photos for me and maybe inside the car a sound/video clip for the sound.

If u do this, i can give u the intake for 1k.

hm i can do that lol, ur giving away the gruppe m intake for fn2 for $1000?

im just saying it based on everything i've read on all civic type r forums, 2 uk forums and a singapore forum. i tried making a custom intake already with exposed pod for my car but took it off straight away because of the flat spots and slow response. But the sound of it after 5000rpm is just crazy

I'll put it in my car and try it out for a day then i'll write a review then i'll give the kit back to you, how does that sound?

wait u guys are getting confused, sitta is first unless he backs out after i post.

U need to give me the 1k first ( meaning u buying the intake ) then take photos for me once you have done and send it to me, and audio/video thus giving it for 1k instead of the normal retail cost

I have purchased my first mod for my FN2R, Gruppe M Intake! :thumb: however, i had something that i wanna DIY for the intake. The carbon scoop that guide air into the airbox when the bonnet's down.

However, in the photo below you can see the left side of the carbon scoop has quite a bit of gap, causing the air are not guided to the airbox effectively :shifty: what could i use to stuff that gap to prevent air from escaping on the left side of the scoop.
