may be the syncros getting worn? high rpm = hard gear engagement?

try to change ur gearbox oil first and see if the problem still occur.

It your mounts mate. You'll probably find your front ones are broken and the dip when changing gears stretches the cables, making it hard to change!

I had trouble shifting from 1st to 2nd all the time at WSID. I changed to aftermarket ones and now I can flatshift if I want to!

Bad oil would make the change notchy more than sticky....IMO

Wouldnt be a bad idea to change the oil anyway!

Shouldnt have any problems shifting the micra Type R. Heard they have triple syncros in all 7 gears!
