hey guys i have an accord euro lower on 20's my camber is -2.2 and that is with a camber kit it is meant to be 4.3 thats what it was before, anyhow im considering puffing out the rear a little to ruduce my camber so i dont have to worry about tyres, has any1 here done that yet? if so were how much ? ? i wanna find a way to stay low but reduce cambeR?

akina

-2.2 camber should be fine but ill make it -2 to be safe.
im running -1.5 at the rear myself.

also, do u mean rolling the guards? so u dont rub?
if so, many places do it. shop around to get the best price

Having the back flared does nothing about the camber
to get ur u camber fix u need to change all the arms etc

Mate been low u gotta live with camber unless u have $$$$$$$ to have the correct set up

George, i'm with you.. i'm getting mine flared out (just a bit) as well.. mine is lowered 3" back and 2.5" front.Meanwhile, i don't even have a camber kit.. mine still runs -4..

I have a friend who is running second hand Pirelli rubber at the rear (he has coilovers set at 5.5" lowered at the rear).. reason being that when these tyres get old, they get hard and wear heaps less.. he was going through tyres every 3 weeks until he got these. it's been about 6 months and he still has about 30%.

George i know what you are talking about i just purchased 20s for my euro with 225/35 tyres so its going to be a close call when i put them on to see if i need to roll guards or flare them out a little. i could just put 225/30 tyres on but i think they are just too thin and il feel all the bumps in the road and with 225/30 pot holes mean big trouble.

What size are your tyres on your 20s George ?

If they are 225/30 can you take a photo for me bro...

Bigpauly2788

Koray could you post a big picture of your car bro i think you have the same rims as me man and the same color euro LOL.

Looks fkn sweet bro i cant wait to get my rims fitted! :D:D

koray

Pauly, mine are Lenso Granzo's. i'm running 225/35 and it's all good.. my mate is running 225/30's and he chips his rim every time he changes lanes and hits a bump at the same time.
I've just got Kmac springs, cos everyone else said 3" couldn't be done without coilovers.. Kmac just made them for me.

Thanx for the nice words man.. be sure you're on the cruise 27/9 to the Blue mountains, we can compare lol..
I'll try and get some pics of mine and my mates by Saturday, have to take saome first!.. he's getting a comp system installed at the moment, 5" lowered (coilovers)at the back with Kspeed Biaggi's on his..

George, awesome lookin car from the looks of your avatar man.. be sure to be on the cruise too..

Nice bro thanks for the reply.

The rims im getting are different but look similar from a distance :)

Yea il prolly get the 35s aye cause chipping these rims on bumps will shit me off, i mean im getting them customised cause the bolt pattern is slightly off, cost me a lot.

the only thing is the rims are 20x8.5 so hopefully they will fit without having to flare the guards aye.

ive lowered my car 1.5" at the rear and 2" at the front, so it evens out.

il put a pic of my car as me avatar once i get the rims put on :)

Cheers for the photo TEMPTN its helped me out a lot, looks hot man but il go with the 225/35.

pauly.

Temptin...That is INSANE!! My mate is in comp with you i think.. His car is getting done by Northwest customs (SXEURO plates).

Pauly, I had mine shipped from Benalla auto centre in Vic. If you haven't bought yours already, give him a call and have a chat...

http://www.benallauto.com.au/

My rims had to be re-PCD'd cos the rims were originally for a commodore (a bee's dick of difference). Gary for Benalla really looked after me. He charged $2200 for rims & tyres, shipping to Melb and back for PCD, PCD costs, and shipping to Sydney.. He's a deadset champion and I'd recommend him to anyone.. After my experience with Tempe and Ozzy, I nearly didn't get rims at all

Bigpauly2788
10-09-2008, 03:03 PM
Ive already ordered my rims and its all being sorted out they should arrive on Monday by the latest.

Umm im just thinking will 8.5 width fit without having to flare the guards out?

What is the width of your 20s Koray?

and if you could hook us up with someone who does flaring of guards in Sydney id appreciate that bro, just incase it comes down to me having to flare the guards out to fit these bad boys on :)

Cheers bro

Mine are 8" wide i think.. 225's look like they're dtreched on the rim. I'm still trying to find a guy to pump guards, my mechanic has a guy in Blacktown that rolls guards for around 40 a corner. Also, Northwest Customs does it for around that price too..

http://www.northwestcustoms.com.au

Check out some of his work.. My mates Euro will hopefully be on there soon

Just 20's at the moment..
I wouldn't mind going 22's if i could fit them.. but I'd probably have to Tub my car!!!!!
As it is, I'm thinking about taking out the Plastic inner guards, just need to figure out if i can spray some sort of liner in there instead, to give me that extra room I need and make sure water doesn't go where it ain't supposed to

Crapdaz

the front inner wheel guard plastic; if you remove it you need to cut it off cause it's attached to the bottom splash guard.

DO IT TUB YOUR CAR!!!

Dude, I was joking... It's still a daily.. If i was to tub it, then fk 22's...24" all the way, Suicide doors on the back and the boot opening in reverse.. not to mention i'd attempt to do a panoramic glass roof like an AMG.. But that's only a wish list right now..

Damn, I was trying to avoid cutting anything, in case I had to put it back to standard.. Thanks for the heads up though

screw your boot, automated hydraulic arm for your bonnet.

so you can awww the cops when they do an inspection.

oh and koray i look at what u said earlier about rolling guards and taking out the inners, mine sits pretty low at the front i didnt have to do much with the back just get ur guards rolled im going a few inches lower soon and it still wont rubthe bak is sweet and with the fron i dont recommend taking out the inners all u ahve to do this is what i dont, if u put ur hand under the front guard u will feel these metal brakets their is about 3 or 4 of them holding the platic for the guard
push the plastic on the other side of it, and get a heat gun and push thos metal brakets in as far into the guard as u can,, u will understand wen u see it, if ur not confident in doin that get a pannel beater to do it but that way ur plastic will sit under the metal braket and get tuket it a bit more n it shouldnt rub if that is an issue because mine is now sitting lower that ur pics at the front n that fixed my rubbing issue i at, not that it doesnt rub at the front once every now and again buts its only plastic touching

hey champ i didnt get them rolled they are cut neatly down the side, the reason being is it allowed them to cut a bit of the plastic for the rear bar so i can reduce my camber angle were as rolling them will curve the metal part in but not do anything about the platic, my mates mate done it lol i dont know who it is i can find out for u if u like..

Dont argue man you dont know anything about wheels! :p B.BOSS is "real" because Bob Jane sells them. haha.

Ill stop now because this thread is about puffing out guards... Dont need to defend the realness of Cosmic wheels..... B.BOSS is so real that they call their wheels "B.BOSS Eleanor" and have "Hereborrani" on the spoke. :thumbdwn: and Cosmic actually calls their wheels "Venerdi Hereborrani" hmmm... yup not hard to tell which one is the real deal.

Who cares? The rims all look the same and adhere to manufacturing standards..

Imo, if you spend more than 500 bucks per rim for something that looks the same as a copy that is cheaper (not nescessarily inferior)... either you're fkn dumb, have way too much money or both. But that's just my opinion.

Oh sorry man, i didnt want to be 'fkn dumb' when i ordered Work Wheels. So does that mean that the Euro owners on here that have genuine JDM wheels on here are 'fkn dumb' because they wanted quality light-weight wheels?
Also because they aren't as common as them rimz they call 'Every Commodore in Australia has these rims'. But nawwww, lets all go to Bob-Jane Tbag for some awesome 4DLULZ rimz brreewwww.

Phwoaaa, nice rimz there Kit, did you get them rims from liek Bob-Jane Tbag? leik FoReaLz?

If you read my original post... This is my opinion only.. I didn't decide to buy genuine rims, because, living in Sydney with the state of the roads here..
a) i can't afford genuine rims. in the first place.
b) even if i could, i don't want to run the risk of smashing a 1000 dollar rim in a pothole..

To me, i can't see the advantage of buying genuine when mine look almost identical and i'm happy with them.. sorry if MY OPINION offended you
again, this is my opinion only.. everyone is entitled to one, even me

well next time express "YOUR OPINION" in a more "NUETRAL" manner

instead of calling any1 who spends more than $500 a wheel fkn dumb

ive always thought any1 that buys fake wheels is ......................, but yeh, i dont say it

the point is, its not just about looks, its about the material used, the forging methods, the heat treatments all these things add up to make a superior wheel

u want to talk about sydenys shit roads causing damage to wheels, thats y u wouldnt buy genuine???

well, have u ever considered the possibility of wat will happen to fake wheels made of low quality material and prepared, fabricated and heat treated in the rong way when they go over a pot hole?

they could fall apart, a massive crack could go straight through them and shatter the whole wheel, who knows

but there is definetley less, MUCH less chance of this happening with a genuine jdm wheel, as they are much much higher quality....imo, the worst that can happen, is a minor dent that can be fixed

not only are they tougher and stronger, but they are also quite a bit lighter than the copy, making ur car feel less like a truck than it would with 15kgs a piece copys...

anyway, again, u dont have to listen to wat i say, i couldnt care less, ur giving ur opinion, and im giving and justifying mine

Should be sweet man, if im really lucky i can get some of this happening just driving to the newsagents.....LMFAO.

Guys it doesnt look lowered because i was crouched on the ground when i took the photo, i guess it doesnt look lowered to you guys because your used to seing euros slammed on their asses and guards swallowing rims when someone mentions the term "lowered".

But yes it is still rather high, that is why i am going to purchase coilovers, so i can lower the car to my liking and also improve the cars handling, etc :)

Once the rims are fitted the gaps above the wheels should be filled seing how they are 20s :)

Well i know that guys LOL but even with 20s coilovers will be better than king springs.

And what im after is looks guys im not planing to go racing around a track with my car LOL.

And if your about to say "if your after looks why get coilovers?"

The answer is because i like having good quality things and i enjoy spending money on things that i enjoy and things that keep me happy :D

and if ya dont like it... boo hoo :)

reason for getting coilovers - getting adjustable ride height and dampening capabilities, more flexibility and function with coilies.

But some spring/shock combo has dampening changes but noot ride height.

But comparing your sacrificing comfort between the two.

Just my 2c.

All gud bro :)

if u want good coilovers make sure u get some that u can adjust lower but still have full suspension travel like k sport coilovers, its coilovers that u dont adjust by the spring perch which will make it stiff but the lowering mount so if u 4 inches low or standard its basically the same

Bigpauly2788
20-09-2008, 07:26 AM
yea im not buying generic ones bro, im going with some Teins :)

Hight adjustable and dampening adjustable.
