hey i just got a ek4 roof welded/painted into my ek and was wondering if anyone knows how to wire it up? any links?

Damn you serious?
Did you cut a hole to fit the sunroof or did you weld the whole roof from the EK4 into your ek1?

Wiring is straight forward man, do you have the original switch?

I highly doubt he would have chopped the top to install the sunroof. That being said I sure as heck hope it was done by a good workshop that reinforced the roof/pillars etc as it is a big structural change!

Id say the wiring in the dash harness would be there but the roof harness from there may be missing, i have a switch and complete sunroof assy if your needing anything.

i got the whole roof welded in by pros. and it look 110% original LOL
i got a sunroof switch from a accord. lol i have no relys, but all the wires.

u cant even tell its been cut, even it u take the roof linning off.

yeah thats what i got, complete sunroof roof including roof, and a switch. lol i need to find out how to wire it either with or without a rely . right now its just tilted. :thumbsup:

for that price, i'm guessing you could've gotten a drive in, drive away job for $2K , aftermarket sunroof, all done properly with warranty as well.

unless it was super cheap. I sure hope the history is concealed from future buyers.

for free, my old man did it. hes a pro-panel beater.

that is correct . also got ek4 rear disc brake and sway bar combo. woo

i got a spare complete ek4 roof, wouldnt mind getting it done too :>

for that price, i'm guessing you could've gotten a drive in, drive away job for $2K , aftermarket sunroof, all done properly with warranty as well.

unless it was super cheap. I sure hope the history is concealed from future buyers.

nothing near 2k. i bought a ek4 complete rear cut for 400bux.
came with all the BLACK interior from the doors back. lol thats where i got the roof from.

as for aftermarket sunroofs. they will eventually leak. :thumbdwn:
thats why i choose OEM FTFW ;)

some people dont trust aftermarket sunroof installs, as they tend to leak after a while, i've seen way 2 many

personally, I rather this chop roof option, purely cause it will be factory and your not hacking into any part of your roof which could cause it to bend. your only removing the spot welds and rewelding.

yeah thanks, but i was looking to wire it up. i have only the wires from the roof and switch. :confused:
