Guys need some help please, my car is getting compliance done this week and i have to make tyre choice
my pick so far:
-Bridgestone Potenza RE-01R (adrenalin)
-Toyo Proxes R1R
-Yokohama ADVAN Neova AD07

the only problem is new proxes R1R apperantly only come in one size for 17'' rims and it's 235/45ZR17, is this too wide for stock EP3 rims??

If anyone has any other ideas please let me know

Adrenalins are RE001. Not RE01R

stock ep3 rim sld be 17 x 7
soo 235 maybe a bit wide.

my choice is ad07, but they worn down quite fast maybe not too good if your car is a daily drive

Out of those 3, I would go the AD07, it's cheaper and it grips very well.

Just ot let you know, those tyres have a low tread wear rating

is RE001 replacment for RE01R?? or is it different tyre

I know those tyres wear fast but i don't do that many kms

i got re-01R in 205/45/17 so the exact same size as from factory and also matched the load ratings. great tyre and like you knew would wear fast but don't drive much so didn't matter, decent price too.

RE-01R is superior to RE001

RE001 is released only in Australia from what I know.

RE-01R is now replaced by RE-11 in Japan.

If you have money RE070 is my pick.

if you are buying tyres for compliance, make sure you know the exact type size, load and speed rating.

apparently you must stick to the same size and same or better rating or they won't pass compliance.

for example, oem size is 205/45/17 83w. for my compliance i had to get 215/45/17 86w.

if i got the oem size, i would be stuffed.

also the tyres must be DOT approved or E marked.

so my suggestion to you is, b4 you go out to buy tyres, ask the compliance shop what spec you must get.

Depends on who's compliancing it. Alot of EP3's running around in Sydney with original wornout tyres........dodgy car yards! :(

Thanks for replays guys, compliance shop is getting those tyres for me, I'm organising new tyres with them, they include some el cheapo tyres in their price but for bit more on top of that they can fit me good ones, that's why I'm doing it this way.
