Hi,

Does anyone happen to have any problems with calibrating their throttle signal to their VAFC2? My throttle signal kept indicating 47%-50% when throttle is fully close and 100% (which is normal) when fully open.

Tried checking the sensor voltage and it indicates that the throttle voltage is 2.4-2.7 volt when closed and 4-5 volt when fully open on both vafc and multimeter. What should the voltage be when the throttle is fully close?

I'm currently on a K20A2 motor with DC5 ECU. I am sure that the grey wire (throttle signal) is connected to the red with black strips wire.

Does anyone out there has the same problem? I'm Driving a DC2 btw.

Help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

throttle closed=about 0.5V

physically check your throttle plate is closing all the way.

Hey bro, I've just checked my throttle plate. It's closed. I'm giving up soon man. And I'm not sure if my car is currently running on Wide throttle. Since VAFC is configured to go on Wide throttle when throttle is at 50%.
I might just unplug my VAFC2 and move on...

Though VAFCII is ineffective on K20A,
It is likley your TPS sensor is either faulty or the VAFC is wired incorrectly.
The K20A TPS is not very reliable as the rheostat inside is only conductive paint & a brush.
This is prone to wearing out & giving false/incorrect reading

Good one! My wiring is definitely correct. But the TPS sensor sound logical. Any advice you would give to solve this problem? Change the TPS sensor? Thought VAFC2 does work on K20A?Although it does not have the capability to do optimal tunning (piggy back). But it should still be able to do some basic stuff.

TODA AU I'm gonna have catback exhaust and air intake on my EP3 and I also got vafc2 to go on car as well, is it gonna be effective with these litlle mods, I got told it's ok to adjust air and fuel mixture, of course not as good as hondata ect but still better than nothing, am I right???

Kpro definitely offer more features compared to VAFC2. For lil mods like yours, VAFC should be okay.

But with Kpro and tunning it right, it'll give u significant boost.

I'll be clearer so there is no confusion,
The VAFC is a waste of time on the K20A.
The OEM ECU will overcome any changes in short time & negate any benifit found.
If you've been told otherwise thats too bad.
Do yourself a favour, Save your money. Remove it & sell it.

Hmm is it a Total waste of time on a B16A2? lol dont mind minimal benefits, could use it as a Digital Meter or something

save your money unless you're getting one for free
if you want a fancy rpm meter get an rsm or something
money better spent on car maintenance
