Just like the title says,

just wondering if the wheels are not sitting flush with the fenders does it effect the car performance in any way by handling or anything else???

i'm refering to a FD civic. thinking of taking the stock wheels off which are at offset +45 and chucking on a wheel with offset +60. it seems to be 150mm difference... would i be needing new or longer nuts?

i'm wondering cause i dun wanna use wheel spacers cause i've hear and read so many down sides of them.

so just wondering if its possible to do without the spacers and have no problems with the wheels sitting in by 1.5cms....

any help or suggestions would be great~!

You get slightly poorer handling because your track width is reduced.

do u mean ur camber/toe settings are not right? or ur rims are too wide? no turning circle buddy

^ Mate he's talking about OFFSET... he's worries about the adverse effects of having rims that sit further tward thee hub as opposed to out toward the guards...

As Aaronng said, you will note a slight reduction in handling, possibly understeer as your tyres fight to cope with the weight being pushed around, and the tyres sitting closer to you chassis...

And that is IF the rims clear the suspension components in the first place!

If the suspension layout of the FD is similar to the EP3/DC5 then it should be ok for daily driving.

Many people use a +60 offset wheel onto a +45 wheel without too much issues.

You will not need extended studs because the wheels sit in more not out more however it will look a bit weird sitting in more.

As everyone has mentioned your wheels will look sunken and crap. I would be concerned about it clearing the inner guard and suspension too.

probably should be asked
whats the width of your new rims compared to your old ones?
if it's much wider it'd probably sit the same
