What a disaster, always puts up a great race and now can't afford to run thanks to bloody Bernie...his greed is killing F1 i reckon, ironic considering he brought it to where it is now...

wonder if there will even be a british GP then? Brands Hatch is supposed to be able to handle F1....

I have always said this is going to happen!
Silverstone was gone before any other track.
Hope they replace it with Turkey in 2006+ :D

yeh I've been hearing about a track in Turkey for 2006? Could be interesting, however it would of been better if the British GP remained.

Hey Enoch.

The British GP was held out the Silverstone Track, which is run by the British drivers club (or something like that)
When a GP is held they give F1 money for being there.
Usually its what revenue they make and divide it by something and a certain amount.

The British GP commity couldn't afford it and now F1 (Bernie Eccostone (sp))
have dropped it for new tracks like Turkey etc

What the hell is the world coming to if Italy can be in the position to lose their F1 race? That's just wrong!

Italy has two races....San Marino (at the racing track in the town) and the Italian GP at Monza...I understood they might have lost one of them.

'Tis a sad day indeed :( Silverstone has always had good heritage and was a nice track. Also alot of British people are involved in the sport and will be disappointed.

Well according to Bernie Silverstone could be back on the calender.
Also, There might be another F1 event in China, with growing asain popularity why wouldn't you go back.
It's Toyota's test track now, but soon to be another event on the calender (taking over the French GP)

Also, Jackie Stewart and Bernie are going to court over silverstone and Jackie calling him several bad names etc. GO JACKIE!

Jackie stewart is a true legend :) Bernie has become too greedy, bastard! I would not be surprised with a 2nd China GP, that country's growth is becoming exponential!
