can you put 20'' wheels on a 98 prelude with 215 35s? and drop it an inch,do you think it will rub?

i have 215/35/R18
and they scrub when u turn the steering the full 2.5X
and my car isn't lowered, it looks like a boat :)
so YES, you will scrub.

no such thing as a 215/35/20??
smallest 20" made is 215/30/20,( new size that we now stock)
do you mean 18's?

all comes down to 20" rim width and offset at the end of the day

Some have had 215/35/19 work, generally with a +45 offset. This is the result

17" is the way to go
While I agree wheels are such a personal thing I try not to pass judgement on them. So many times I've seen a car that I absolutly love spoiled by the wrong choice of wheels, but the owner loves them , so that's all that matters.
Also got to wonder what handling and ride are like.
If the OP is asking about putting 20s on, then handling and ride clearly aren't the top priorities. Though that black example with the 19s I posted above kept up with everybody pretty well through the Marysville hills a couple of months ago.

20's fit with no rubbing at all! 40mill drop at rear and 30mill at front with 225/30/20,looks sick

i have to agree that 17' is the way to go, i had 18 first but it threw the whole ride off not to mention the speedo as well but the 17' make the ride so much better and i've had mine lowered but scraps a little with full turn.....if u want them to look bigger just get a rim that has a design that goes to the edge of the rim....
