I think most H22a turbo stuff is fabricated, like WPN22Rs gear is just about all custom made. If you want premade stuff, maybe you should look at a Kit. There are a few joints in Sydney who sell Honda Turbo kits, I believe advan and AVO do, so maybe you can open up that door

Def go for a kit, They are more popular in the u.s, and are cheaper to source there, i have no idea about h series kits but the d series ones are alot cheaper there and are really decent. about $2500AU shipped for the basic kit with no fmic.

Do a bit of google action and see if greddy make a kit.

kits are pretty expensive... esp for greddy ones etc...
plus shipping from O/S.. ouch..

Labour is the real killer tho..

Do it yourself... Not really that hard with the kits, considering thats what they are designed for - doing it yourself.
Hell weq did his on his own, and he's no bright spark :p ;)
I'd even take a weekend off and come down and help... but turbo kits are definitely not my area of expertise

lol yeah.. i just realised.. parts wise.. isnt too much.. compared to hi-performance kits etc...

Basically I would need:
Manifold
Turbo (prob a T28)
Dump Pipe
Intercooler
Oil Lines

and labour... eeek! hehe

you also need some engine management and possibly a thcker head gasket - tune can be done when its finished, as can head gasket.

I am sure you could find enough mates down there who know what they are doing - just have a working bee weekend - supply beer and BBQ and install the kit...

You are stupid if you dont just go a kit, and I would try keep the current high compression of the h22 rather than going down the road of decompression plates ew.

Yeh you definetly dont have to be smart to put the kit on, its almost all bolt up

Well I can't justify spending over $3-4k for a kit.. when I can get all the parts I need for less than that....

Exactly right - sometimes, for some more common cars, turbo kits are definitely the way to go, but I am not convinced in this case it would be.

I suggest looking at the kits you can buy from the USA, as well as locally, then compare it to buying everthing separately - go onto honda-tech.com and preludeonline etc and look at buying a used manifold and maybe some piping, then buy everything else you need here

4 week shipping would be OK - US$100 for something that size

I say look used, and try and pick bits and pieces uyp as you go

be prepared to have a few hiccups along the way.
Watever you think the price is for the project, double it cos it will be more than likely that.
I recommend that if you want a fast car then just save up for one.
I started out with a cheapo home made kit about a year ago, didn't last too long and now i'm goin all out. Alot of time and money wasted. i'd go back if i could.

Yeht that is expensive for a standard kit.

Of course there will be a few little problems here and there however I hardly think doubling the price is realistic, again you can use weq as a perfect example of how well a kit can perform.
