Aim: change radiator along with hoses
Required:
-new radiator+hoses
-stanley knife
-jack stand+floor jack
-common tools.(pliers[pointy+flat])
-service manual
Steps:
there are 6 hoses that need to be replaced in my eg4. one of the heater hose is separated to two hoses by a levered plastic valve, you'll see in the picture later.
1. eat your breakfast, have a read through service manual, prepare your tools.

2. jack up your car so you can take off your bumper and splash guard easier
http://i516.photobucket.com/albums/u323/breadbaconncheese/jackitup.jpg
3. then drain your coolant. i wanted to undo the drain bolt on engine block but its too hard so cbf. lol.

4. undo spring clamps on top hose, and then unbolt the bracket support. then undo the two bolts to release the fan. don't forget to unplug the fan connector.

5. remove top hose:

6. bottom hose:
http://i516.photobucket.com/albums/u323/breadbaconncheese/3.jpg
7. after top+bottom hoses are removed, then you can take old radiator out. keep the rubber cushions for your new radiator. DAMN RUST!

8. new top hose is in.
http://i516.photobucket.com/albums/u323/breadbaconncheese/5.jpg
9. then i went towards the firewall to undo the bypass hose. this hose has a bracket that is bolted to a firewall. undo.
http://i516.photobucket.com/albums/u323/breadbaconncheese/6-1.jpg
10. once the bracket is undone, there is more room for my left hand to wiggle a bit more. then i undo the clamp on right bypass hose, then hack the hose with stanley knife.
http://i516.photobucket.com/albums/u323/breadbaconncheese/7.jpg
11. once the left bypass hose is undone, you will have more room for your right hand to undo the left bypass hose. same step: undo pressure clamp, then hack the hose.
http://i516.photobucket.com/albums/u323/breadbaconncheese/9.jpg
12. the left bypass hose has this plastic valve that i was talking about before, it's to turn hot/cold temperature on your climate control, it's attached to a wire cable, undo.
http://i516.photobucket.com/albums/u323/breadbaconncheese/10.jpg
in with the new hose!!
http://i516.photobucket.com/albums/u323/breadbaconncheese/11.jpg
13. i reinstalled the left bypass hose along with the valve to firewall. and the rest just follows naturally i guess. it's just common sense.

http://i516.photobucket.com/albums/u323/breadbaconncheese/20.jpg
http://i516.photobucket.com/albums/u323/breadbaconncheese/24.jpg
here i have installed the fan again, plugged the fan connector, fasten radiator bracket and refill it with some coolant.
Last step is to make some mesh, guarding your new radiator from evil rocks and dumb bugs.
i bought this metal fly screen from bunnings, and some screws+washers to secure the mesh to my bumper. i think the screws are 4gauge 6mm (the thinnest). looks like this:

then after cutting and screwing:
http://i516.photobucket.com/albums/u323/breadbaconncheese/22.jpg
Reinstall your bumper and splash guard and you're good to go!
MAKE SURE THERE ARE NO TOOLS LYING AROUND IN YOUR ENGINE BAY
Doing the hoses one by one is a good idea as you will know the right angle to install
Other comments: its not so hard to do, just need a lot of effort. it took me 6 hrs to change the hoses and also it's a good idea to buy some takeaway food first before you do it if you're an int. student like me and no food at home+no time to cook.
oh. dont say my blue hoses are rice! its cheap.. im poor uni student. lol
special thanks to Ivan x3e motorsport for the hoses, and for coming all the way to my place to deliver new clamps as the clamps he gave me when i bought the hoses were too small.
**radiator cost -----------------------------------------------------------------------: $80 (ebay)
**hoses+clamps ---------------------------------------------------------------------: $140 (x3e)
**making friends with a mech/seller who takes responsibility over his product ----: priceless.
please correct me if im wrong at any point! thanks
