Hi,

what chain lube do u girls n guys use?

I recently got my gixxer serviced and while was at the showroom, went and got some Motul. Can't remember which model but they wouldn't let me test it out on the cap to see if they were the 'white sticky stuff'. That's the one I was using and the bloody can doesn't have any english...

got home, used a little bit and it was the wet/slippery colourless one... stupid salesman doesn't know crap - i asked the guys if it was the sticky lube and they said yes...

20 Buks for the same crap as my WD-40...

The Motul i was using before was from a friend but he left the country and the CAN looks so different to the ones in shops so i can't match and buy.

I have also tried FUCHS Silkolene got from supercheap but it's crap so i returned it...

ANy other ones that is good??

Try the chain wax stuff. Best damn stuff, doesn't make a mess, and lasts ages.
Any brand will do, but I got rock oil stuff at the moment. It is good.

btw, if you run an 'O' or 'X' ring chain, lubing it does stuff all but stop rust.
WD40 is bad because it penetrates the rings and melts all the lube away.

chain wax is the way to go if you dontmind getting your hands dirty. Ive used alot of chain lubes and most of them flick everywhere. wax ftw !!! make sure u scrub it down before you put it on

nvmee is right get chain wax its better, if you use chain lube and turn the wheel as your spraying it on its going to flicker off so really no point CHAINWAX FTW!

Stops most dust and sand sticking to the chain.

Just lube chain night before, no matter what lube you use. You got to give it time to dry. :)

I use Bel Ray. It's the white sticky stuff.

i use bel ray too but mine aint white...

it's more a yellowish/caramel coloured one and goes on thick and runny like caramel itself

it will flick off the chain onto your swingarm and wheel, but just grab a rag and wipe it off.

Honda makes some really good stuff, i know bikes shops that love it even though they service multiple makes. Honda engine oil is supposed to be good also.
