hey guys i need some help quick because i want to take out the climate control face due to the fact that the cold and hot stick is really hard to push across and i assume i should grease it up a bit so that i can move it with ease rather than thinking that im going to break it!

So if you guys can gimme a few suggestion on How to take out the climate control face, how could i oil the stick easier OR even ANSWER HOW MANY DAMN SCREWS are behind that face because some people say 2, and some say 4 so i don't know who to bloody believe! btw my car is a Integra GSI DC4 1994 model

Thanks =]

pull out the hazard and the heater thingo. there should be two screws behind it.
then its wire connectors that u have to unplug.

search for it. i know theres a DIY on team integra and the link has been put on here somewhere just gotta find it.

this happened to mine and also i blow 2 lights in it, at xtat1k said there are 2 screws and a cable at the back, also you will find it not the leaver at the front that is getting stiff but it would be the box behind the dash that it connects to, if you grease that up it will help to.

yeah what is it with dc2s hot/cold lever!?

mines stiff as a board too so this might not be a bad idea, i'd also love to change the lights to red to match everything else that lights up in my car:P

i think dc2/dc4 lever is just stiff over all... unless its just stuffen's up after a while...

when i first bought my car, i thought i got jibbed cause i couldnt move it and i was scared to use force cause i thought i would break up..

but im just use to it now.

actuelly with the link i just posted... is pulling that cable thing on pictures 2 and 3.. are they a must? coz no one ever mentions that cable, they just say take off the 2 buttons, and unscrew the 2 under them and rip it off.

The cable you saw in pics 2 and 3 has to be removed because that is what your hot and cold stick is connected to. Look under the dash on the passenger side where this cable is located. Before you take the cable off its metal post, push the metal post backwards and forwards. You will see that the hot and cold stick moves from left to right etc. As onlykillz said, "it would be the box behind the dash that it connects to" which is stiff.

I think it could be the actual cable line which connects to the box/metal post from the climate control. probably gets stuck on something in the small gap it has cause it dosnt have enough room to freely straigten and contract when moving from hot to cold. i only say this cause when you remove the cable from the metal post and then move the metal post backwards and forwards, it dosnt seem as stiff as what it is when pushing the hot and cold stick when it is connected. and that when you remove the entire climate control free from the metal post, you can slide the hot and cold stick easily.

i duno... anyone get the crap i just said ? HAHAHA
