Hi guys,

Just with my clutch, during balancing the friction point on 1st/reverse, i think the noise is coming from my clutch.....but it makes swiking noise....especially uphill.
Do I need to change the clutch?

cheers

might be the clutch bearings. in that case cause opening it up to change bearings will be $200-300 depending on who you go to. bearings itself cost 20-30 bucks
nothing to worry really just annoying squeaks. only needa change the clutch when you put it in gear 4 and move and it tries to move.. if your clutch is alive tehn it will automatically just stall. if its not dead then it will want to struggle to move abit before it stalls..

most people that hhate the squeaking sound of the clutch from the bearings mostly just get a clutch change aswell at the same price cause labors a bitachhh

Another method I've heard to 'test' if you clutch needs replacing is:
get up to about 50km/h or so and be in 6th gear, then floor the accelerator. If your rpms start rising at a rate that doesn't match the speed indicated, then your clutch is slipping and you need a new one!

Please correct me if I'm wrong, I can't remember where I heard this from =)

Tried and test method... heard that from a few mechanics .. :) Same whistling like sound here when clutch is engaged... Perphaps plan a clutch upgrade for more power add-ons or track in the future ?

As for me .. I could'nt be bothered paying 500+ labour just to replace a 30+ part.... :(

Could be that the pivot points need some lubrication.
