Hi there.

I have a sneaking suspicion that my rear engine mount is goooone.

anyway, in the near future, i will be purchasing new bushes for my suspension, and i thought i may as well get some new engine mounts while im at it. (why not).

anyway, i'm just trying to sus out what options there are, and ive noticed that there is a constant reference to 2 and 3 bolt post mounts. (i could go outside and have a look, but really...c'mon)

Can someone fill me in as to what this means...and what mount kit i would actually need.

car (eg5) currently has a b18cr.

To figure out what type of mounts you have, look at the passenger side mount near the cam gear cover. The 2 post mount has 2 studs coming up into the mount, whereas a 3 post mount has 2 studs coming up, and an extra bolt going down, like so:

your options are pretty much Hasport, Avid, and Innovative.

I ended up going with innovative as they were pretty cheap (300ish landed).

You also have to consider the hardness you want your mounts to be. If its primarily a street car, the 60/62A mounts will be fine, But if you are going to be tracking the car, you can go for a harder mount if you choose.

Cool, thanks for the info Alexx...i'll have a look when im under the bonnet next time.

I might go for the 75's in the innovative...

Cheers!!
