Just to clear up... its most likely the brake "pads" , get sum new ones,, and remember to machine your rotors when you do. =)

pads on indicators
you could bend the indicators back temporarily until you get new pads.

Depends on your budget, get decent pads like bendix from burson ~$80 apair
machine ~$40-50 per rotor
labour ~$70 for the front

as if try to get more post and not ask me... and yea you probably need to get new brake pads! ill help u change them :P'
how long has it been squeeling for? its most likely just scrapping the indicator... should be fine unless uv been driving like that for a fair bit!
dont think its neccesary to machine unless the rotors have been warped/screwed.

it is a certainty without machining, new pads will still squeel.
you need a clean cut flat surface to go with new pads and bed them properly.
forkout an extra $100 and do it right the first time, or if you feel baller purchase $180 RDA slotted rotors.

if its from the fronts, just replace those.
if you continue to hear squeeling, then do the rears too.
price wont differ/cheaper if you do the just the front then the whole four brakes.

Check the pads first (or get a mate / mechanic to check for you)... before you go and buy new ones. Save some money if you can man. The pads COULD be fine.
When the brake disks/rotors are cold... have a feel over them. If there is a big lip on the edge of the rotor, you may aswell replace the rotor with a OEM item, or aftermarket if your pocket allows you. If the lip isn't that large, leave them, but you should get them machined if you are going to replace the pads. This leaves a flat surface for the new 'soft' pad to bed into. The pad and fresh surface of the rotor will bed in together nicely. Same concept of how when replacing a clutch, the Flywheel will need to be machined.
There are a number of reasons why the brakes can squeel. Normally the noise from when a pad is worn, and is down to the indicators is when the noise is more of a scraping.
Squeeling can usually be excess brake dust caught around the pad. Rotors worn. Something not related to the brake system. It could even be a wheel bearing or something of the sort.
Best to get it checked out professionally.
Just my 2c.

lol my back brakes have been squeeling for a while, only 40% of pads left on the back, usually nothing to seriuos, just needs a change. THere is a DIY thread on how to change your brake pads.
