metallic paint vs non metallic paint

hay there guys,

looking to get the new jazz, but i would like to know more information about metallic paints vs non metallic paints, what are the pros and cons etc... more info the better.

considering black which is metallic, and white which is not metallic. over time which is less effected, and if paint protection helps in both cases???

black will show ALL marks and scratches and is much harder to keep clean. i'd go with one of the coloured cars for ease of maintenance as dirt wont show up as much. other than that i'd choose white over black any day

i have a metallic black (dark dark grey according to honda) on my civic. Its a pain in the ass to keep clean. White much cleaner in appearence, easy to maintain

Black shows all the flaws of the paint work very obviously, thats why detail freaks tend to buy black car's to make sure everything is in perfect condition..

Colour like white/silver, is harder to see the flaws, hence not requring your to pay as much attention to it...

IMO,, get white!!! I dont recall seeing many white Jazz' before =S

really theres no benifit to getting a mettalic or pearl over a standard color other then appearance, in the sun its gonna look shiny or deep (the helios yellow one in the sun is amazing looking, same with the blue)

so really its personal pref, ya alot of the guys here say black is harder to keep clean, but alot of the time a dirty black looks better then a clean fugly color anyways, its upto you man, imo ide go black, just cuz im canadian and we have a vandetta against white cars lol

get the yellow metalic... tell everyone its spoon yellow and it dosnt show up dirt, i friend of mine has it, preety nice

Just remember with the honda metallic and pearl paints if you need to touch up scratches you need to apply that special clear coat over the paint that you fix otherwise it looks a little odd. Unless honda gave my girlfriend the wrong colour for her car -_-
