Should look at NST as they do a kit with oversized alt.pulley for those of us that are running amps on our sound systems. Also with some of the NST pulleys you can use your OEM belt.

not recommended though cause they are the same size as UR pulley which requires the shorter belt.
But cheaper than UR by $100.
As long as you change to higher rating battery the amp won't kill with the pulleys installed.

sorry to bump up and old thread.
So the UR pulleys are underdrive, rather than lightweight alternatives to the stock ones? This means they are a diff diameter to stock and will require the gates belt?
what will this mean for electronics?
I'm currently running stock battery and notice that if I try to use the electronic windows with my foglights on they will dim (granted the fogs are aftermarket)

^ The UR pulleys are light weight alternatives, size wise i think its smaller, thus the new belt (but thats just a guess)
The only electronic issue that has been quoted often are aftermarket sound systems. Howver, some ppl have not had any issues.
There is also the NST pulleys. Apparently similar gains and cheaper too. I have mine on order from heeltoeauto so should be coming soon.

Whats the model no.of the NST pulleys that you have?do you still use the stock belt?cause i think there's an NST pully set where you use the stock belt.also where do you notice the gains?thanks for your help.:)

I cant find a site with a price for NST. For $300 USD for UR Id rather pony up for new Exedy stage 1 clutch and HF02 lightweight flywheel. I cant see the value in shipping the UR pulleys here and having them fitted at the moment. That being said thats more of an exchange rate issue. Suxs.

the model number is NST22415K and this one contains both underdrive crank and overdrive alternator, but the belt had to be changed.
there was gains mostly in the low end that i could feel but u can feel it revs easier(picks up easier from low revs). but in sayin that its not like a massive light/day difference.

True, but it's the install cost that's the killer with clutch and flywheel, also exchange rate is crap ATM.
