Hey all,

Was thinking it would bee helpful to have a sticky for each individual car forum i.e. Integra, civic etc for common issues to look out for when buying cars....

My first response is yes, it would be good considering the same question keeps coming up in the noob forum.

Waits for more responses....

Is the best way to start a new thread and let people add to it, then we'll edit it along the way?
Or
Have 1 person search the relative section and put all the majority of info together in one thread and keep updating the first post as new info is given?

I'm noob at making stickies lol

Posts along the lines of the OP's outlined subject, are majority of the time reposts.

I think its probably more a case where we find an existing threda for each make/model - and then stickying that so that members can add to it.

Any new threads of a similar nature, we close and link off to the appropriate sticky.

yep, the way i envisage it is have one sticky for each kind of car, generally, ie dc2/dc5, etc in each make forum...

if that makes sense

Yeps understood.

The other alternative (in an attempt to save e-space and avoid having a sticky for EVERY single reoccuring topic) is have one centralised sticky in the Noob forum.
The first X posts (X being the number of models we have on site), contain the specific things that we should look out for when buying that specific model Honda.
We leave that thread open and allow members to add/correct the info as it goes.

How does that sound?

I think this is a good idea, but considering how few people read the "new to modifying cars" sticky in the noob forum before posting a question that is already answered in here, I am not sure how useful they will be.

I'm not sure I understand the points above but my issues are
1. The point Mike just made (post #11)
2. Who's going to create/maintain the stickies
