looking to lower my dc2 type r useing koni sports shocks and some springs went and spoke to a friend at autobarn and when we looked for a part number for them theres none listed so we rang up and they only have one for gsi and vtir or use coilovers but they might be a bit of over kill! so we rang around a couple of other places and no go would anyone have a part number or no any other brand that i could use? any help would be great thanks

my EG uses dc2r stock shocks with Tanabe DF210 lowering springs...10-15% stiffer than stock (claimed in the website), much lower than stock, perfect height (at least for me)...still able to clear 98% of speed bumps with front/rear lips, front lower arm bar and rear tie bar...

maybe just try using lowering springs 1st if u still have good stock shocks...

couldnt find the koni's part number for dc2r.
the other is to change the rear LCA to EG/DC if you really want the koni that bad. agree with sydsyd as the dc2r shocks should be able to handle lowered springs anyway. I think it's your best solution if you don't want to go with coilover.

They do make a 'coilover' (matched spring to shock). Maybe best to send them an email or give them a call.

actually, if u guys should look into acura section, cos the dc2r's in the states are released under the acura brand...there's the part number there, including the price (i think about US$600+ for all 4)...

i think the dc2r shocks are fine if you just wanna lower your car with springs..

look into using Spoon Sports springs as they are lowered springs which are made them for the dc2r shocks..
