Simple Q, if i change my wheels from the '04 16" 205 wheels to the '05 sport 17" 225 wheels....because they are different width (and therefore defectable), will this effect any insurance claim in the event of an accident?

theyre still stock honda OEM wheels... your insurance company (or anyone for that matter) would not know the difference...

ask your insurance company about it if your really worried... im with alliance, and whether i had stock alloys or aftermarket alloys, they still cover it as an option...

ring your insurance company. tell them you will be changing wheels and see if they cancel the policy. if not then you'll be covered

they can't cover anything that they don't know about..

usually they add an excess to your policy because they are not oem wheels.

If they are not legal to be on your car then they won't cover you in the event that you are in an accident. Read your PDS there is usually a clause saying that they will not cover you if your car is not road worthy (i.e. defectable).

Might be worth while reading this
