Dying Battery??

Neway recently my amp has stopped working for abt the last 2 weeks. That's fine i guess as its pretty old

but the other day i was just sitting in the car, and thought hey i'm pretty bored y not listen to sum music so i start the car(hmmm how to describe it) i turn the key 2 notches pre-engine start and the amp works.

I'm thinking cool everythings all good, so i start the engine and the amp stops working??

Not sure y but i tried twice before the amp stopped working all up.

setup as follows i run my splits and sub thru the amp and rear coaxials thru the deck

So your car starts and runs now, and your amp isn't?

well not exactly it runs when the engine isn't started
