d16y8 or d16zc would be unreal with a D15B g'box (LSD). especially for turbo :)

what are you going for speed or what? save your money and lower your car and put new wheels and speakers. because you got a 1.6 litre engine right now~you will feel llike you wasted money once you change to another 1.6 sohc vtak. trust me.

even better if you have money swap in a b series. or save up for b seriees. if i was you i would do a facelift conversion and lower it then rims and speakers

to be honest i was surprised that the 1.5 put out more power....and higher in the rev range too...

If you put in a D16y8 you are going to regreat it. You can get a Aus spec B16 for cheap as chips.

then again he said he wasn't after speed.

IMO the dohc d16 found in the eg si's are really good engines then again the sohc vtec version is pretty much identical in performance so... you can't go wrong with the y8 or ZC.

just go for whatever is cheaper/better quality.

zc is US its D16a8. i have one in my si and love it. easy enough power to have a good bit of fun in, just don't expect to win any races. turbo FTW

B16a2 are far from fast. You dont need to drive the B to its limits and if later on he choses to go faster, he already has the B where as if he went D he is up for another conversion.

if your gonna go cheap, the difference in power between the d15 & y8 are nominal.

Look for which one is cheaper and easier to get parts
