I got mine from amazon. Its called chrome black out tape by Trimbrite. Car looks very clean after the mod.
I've had mine for almost a year now and its still stuck on nicely!
Didnt take long at all to get shipped either. I think its about $10 a roll shipped from memory. You will need at least 2-3 rolls i think. Just get more just to be safe.

so there is no way that we can pull out the chrome strips out ???

snYpz
24-09-2008, 09:21 PM
^ nope
I have asked about that option. Apparently the chrome bends out of shape and would be a bitch to put back on.
Black out tape would be easiest imo

another option is to buy the sport trim set from honda parts as it is black finish

snYpz
24-09-2008, 09:46 PM
^ nah i have asked abt that too. It costs about $500 or so for the trim!
I only have pics of it from a distance and poor resolution.

I dont have any close shots. IMO, from more than 1m away from trim, you wont be able to tell its tape unless you're looking for it. It might be because i have visors so not as noticeable. I think the tape is a very worthwhile mod

for a second i was thinking that, that is just a normal euro.

Then i realised you did the trim but not the handles.

Trimbrite Blackout tape.

Dont think bunnings has it but give it a try. The trimbrite lasted an entire year with no problems. Took about 7-10 days to arrive.

those are the tsx/tl handles... they are colour matched with chrome strip down the middle... unlike our ones which are all chrome... id be pretty damn hard to get our handles all blacked out...

Well i guess if you're desperate enough, you can take the handles off, get them sanded down and painted....perhaps

Here are the results of some DIY work with my friend during that damn hot yesterday. JDM black strips = $500+, our DIY black strips = under $5

Had a look at the workshop manual, unfortunately u need to replace the sills if you remove them (as someone previously said)
