h22a accord

after 2 years of insuring my accord ( comprehensive )with nrma at an agreed value of in 02 was $11500, in 03 was $11150...now ( 04) they want an agreed value of $7900. I should have insured it originally for the asking price of my vehicle (14990) instead of the price i payed ($11500)

Im 25 now and my premium is going to be $750 thats including a 65% no claim bonus.

Ive never had an at fault accident, lost my licence or had fines for anything other than minor speeding and defect offences and have held a gold licence for years now.

Would i be better off going to someone like shannons and insuring my vehicle for the a realistic replacement value. I dont mind paying a higher premium its just that if my car was written off or stolen etc $7900 would not even get me a stocky 5th gen...let alone one with mods like mine.

what do u guys think i should do?

since u dont mind paying the higher premium, i say swap insurance companies man, and insure ur car for a higher replacement , my sis owns a car like urs but completly stock and shes insured for i think 14k or 15 i was also thinking about swapping insurance companies next year too ( im with NRMA also) and insure my car a bit more then i baught it for so that way if anyhting happens ill get my money back and a bit more heheh, i was thinking of www.budgetdirect.com.au try that out

Ive just insured my 1996 Accord through Just Cars. I told them I paid $16,000 for it, so thats what they said they will insure me for :D

My premium is high though, but thats mainly because I have a bad driving record (Many speeding fines, and few licence suspensions) But I never have been in a accident or made a claim before. So im paying about $1,800 a year I think. Thats with my mods (18" wheels, lowered, stereo), Im 22, and a rating 4 I think.

I know as well that Just Cars cover engine conversions. They charge a extra 5%, I know coz my ED civic is insured through them as well.
