got a mate with an is200 and he is trading his car in... was wondering if i should take his wheels which are 17" and they are like nearly new tyres on them... the thing is that he is in nothern QLD and if i want them he would bring them down when he comes to visit, which means i cant give them a go on the euro to see if it fits or if its nice... anyway the specs are 17"x7 offset is +42 or +45 not sure... another thing is that the centre cap is pretty special so i cant swap the honda one over... would look abit crap with lexus rims on a honda car... but if he is going to sell it to me for almost nothing ($300 including brand new spare) i think it would be great if they fit well and looks nice... for $300 i would be very happy to have new set of wheels...

make sure the stud pattern is 5x114.3 and offset is not under +40 or it'll stick out of the guards and will be a defect.

double check your wheel nuts are suitable with the wheels as i don't know if lexus Is comes with tapered or acorn nuts.

center caps - you can try push them out from inside the wheel.
but you'll need to check if the IS center caps are the same size which they should as they should be a standard size.

hope this helps.

Just take the centre caps off all together and no one will ever know where it's from :D

hi guys here is the pic of the rim... see how the centre caps are different as in it curves through the wheel nuts so u cant just replace with a round centre cap

since my euro is a 04 lux does it have the "special" suspension setup for 17" mags that all lux from 05' onwards have?

yeh don't think you can fit them on,
try and get Honda vinyl logo and stick them ontop.

no special suspension is required as your wheels are going to be puny anyways.

stylish.

Sorry to go off-topic a bit, but what if Lexus rim's specs were 18"x8 with an offset of +40. Will these specs be compatible with his Euro Accord? And if so... which tyre dimensions would best suit this?

LOL I'm just imagining the Lexus rims being 18's...

225 or 235/ profile 40

so the tripmeter doesn't have much of a greater difference compared to stock.

+40 offset will sit on the edge of the guards so it's the min you can go

stylish.
