Been watching carsales for fun lately, seen this dc2r been on sale, anyone checked it out? they dropped the price a fair bit, surprised to see that its not yet sold.

Stock DC2R - hard to find!!
From the pics it looks good, and the price isn't too low. This is market price for one of these.

considering anyone selling a dc2r likes to sell it at an overly inflated price, this is pretty rare.

17k sound pretty fair. Just sounds cheap cause most dc2r owners think their cars are made of gold.

If you notice only the RED and BLACK DC2R's go cheap, white and Yellow coloured ones are still fetching over 20k for a clean one.

hmmmm no road worthy either... redbooks says market value for a DC2R is between 10 and 12k... but suprisingly there being sold for stupid prices like 20 to about 24k.. i think this guy is just being realistic, but its also easy to get suckered in.. make sure he supplies a road worthy for it, get RACV to check it out, and make sure you do a REVS check to see if its history and whether is been written off before.. it costs a fair bit but its worth the trouble..

I reckon it's reasonable.
I own 1 myself, more Ks on the clock and NRMA valued it for $17000 and that was at the start of the year.

redbook is always way off the actual market value
squish85
26-09-2008, 04:11 AM
depends on market demand... car is worth 12-14k.. but most ppl are willing to pay up to 20k due to the short supply of mint dc2rs.... redbook value is merely a guideline.. its what u think u can pay vs the condition of the car that matters....

What squish said, its all about what people are willing to pay and the culture following..............17k is a great price although if i was him would have asked more! Might be a cheap buy for someone!

mines got 68k kms and Shannons valued it at 23k...
Take a look at the right rear wheel, looks like positive camber... the rear bumper is out of alignment and has a scratch... and id be wondering why the plates are new.

it's all demand and supply
redbook is merely a guide to prices. They probably have their own formula for depreciation of car prices and just apply it, but it may not reflect actual market prices.

Sunroof was a factory option from Honda. Honda had these done by a 3rd party.

No sorry your wrong, a sunroof on a DC2R was a dealer option not a factory option.
