What do you think of these rims.. ?

They're Vertini - Hennessy. Does anyone know where else these can be purchased?

This pic was taken at OzzyTyres, however i'd prefer to buy it somewhere else if possible.

I'm considering either 18's or 19's. 19's are the ones that are in the pic.

Would there be any issues with a +43 offset if i get 18's? I'm not sure whether it's 8 or 8.5 width.

I'm also thinking of Vertini Riviera now... Here are new pics of both rims.

but regarding to the fitment, it will fit with a +43 offset on 18's whether 8 or 8.5 width.
im running 18x8.5 myself

Wow, you actually got someone to help you at Ozzy. Last time I went there the person didn't sound/look happy that I was asking questions about the wheels I was after.

I wanted those wheels and one of them (@ St Marys) told me it didnt fit my car and I think only 20"+? I think only Ozzy sells Vertini. I'm not a fan of Tempe and Ozzy anymore. But thats just me.

What about these?

i like the bottom left ones.. but sounds like they'll cost like 3g'z or something just for the wheels.. which i'm not prepared to pay..

the girl at the front counter was helpful at Ozzy, however the guy was rude. He kept saying "she's giving you cheap price.. it should be more than that .. (which is bullshit..cause i emailed them b4 hand and they quoted me the same price) and then after when i got him to set the rim next to my car.. i said "i'll think about it " and he was like "offer only for today".. so i was like "screw that".

I like tempe.. i get looked after cause i have a mate that works there...

alright time to bring back one of my old threads..

it's time for new rims.. rather than getting the vertini hennessy which i wanted originally, i went with kspeed ones purely cause they were 1k cheaper.. however now i've decided that i'm going to get rims that i want, irrelevant of price..

The options are Vertini Hennessy:

http://www.clublexus.com/gallery/data/500/vertini_pshop_blueGS.jpg

or Vertini Riviera

http://www.elementwheels.com/prodimages/3seriesriviera.jpg

I like the deep dish in the rear, but correct me if i'm wrong, i wont be able to get a deep dish on the rear cause they'll be too wide for the euro??

What do you guys think.. ? any other suggestions..

Budget i have is $2.6k max with rubber..

Thinner profile, wheels are heavy so more pressure on tyres, if your dropped and no camber kit, you'll need to keep rotating your tyres around. 18s will last u longer on tyres IMO.. Also Winter night + Rain + Pot Holes + 6000K+HIDS = Dangerous.. you'll either crack or dent your wheels hitting a pot hole covered in water. Even my Forged 20" got dented hitting a pot hole covered in rain at 60KM/H.

jesus... that's turned me right off.. hahahaha..
i think it's going to be either 19's or 20's..

the profile for 19's would be 35 yeah.. ? i'm currently running my 18's on 40's..i think and it's not that bad..

my car is dropped with camber kit though.... i guess it's the pot holes that will be the main worry..

do you guys know what the spec's for the 16" euro stockies are.. i just want to do some calculations with a tire size calculator

with such large profile tyres, they wont be suitable for your car.

I think 30's will be ok..

i have 30's with 20" by 8 - no worries, hit pot holes, nothing goes wrong..

it just depends on how u drive to be honest.. since i got the rims, i know that i have slowed down when taking corners and stuff.. so its kinda better :)

yeah its depends on how you drive and how bad the road condition is... if the potholes is soooo deep and the rain is very heavy. it can cause problem eventhough you run @ 40km/h.

Personally I think 19" is better than 20". willing to go there before but cancel coz the tyre price is way more expensive than 18" :(

Lol! The size of your balls is inversely proportional to the size of your car's rims. Small ball people need big rims to compensate.

Me too,i have 17s.What about Aaron he has 16s.lol.:p

I said "inversely proportional" which means the smaller the rims, the bigger the balls. You should have more respect for Aaron!

It's bit like the system used to measure the "bore" of a shotgun (or cannon for that matter). A 16 gauge shotgun has a bigger bore than a 20 gauge shotgun even though 20 is a bigger number than 16. The number represents the denominator and so the bigger the denominator, the smaller the fraction. A 16 gauge shotgun means that it's bore diameter fits a solid spherical ball of pure lead that weighs 1/16th of a pound. A 20 gauge shotgun means that it's bore diameter fits a solid spherical ball of pure lead that weighs 1/20th of a pound.

Mind you, I don't really know the connection between wheel diameter and size of balls but women seem to equate a big powerful engine with a small dick so maybe larger diameter wheels equate to smaller balls as they are both roughly round in nature.

What was the topic again?

well i ended up getting the wheels.. ended up going for 20" Hennessy... massive scrubbing though when i turn corners or hit a bump...

i got the top part of the rear guards rolled but it's still scrubbing on the rear part of the rear guard... so I need to get that fixed up next saturday.. also the front is hitting the plastic when hit bumps.. can i just cut away at the plastic under the front guards.. ??

20's look great.. but 18's are so much more fun to drive as you dont have to worry about scrubbing and you can take corners at greater speeds..

I'm sure they have the audi replicas forsale with a cheapo tyre package.

yeh your right,

if they are to Audi standards (PCD 5x112) then he needs to find out if the PCD is correct from the supplier to suit the euro of PCD 5x114.3 and offset between +40 to +55.

don't ask us on what we think because it always gets fired up...into arguments
but my 2c - they are okay looking just not my taste, prefer more smaller spokes or 5 big spoke wheels.

My cousin used to have that wheels on his black euro, he had a kit on and lowered too. His brand was Luftdrag and paid 4Gs for it new. what brand is yours? it will look good! as long as its lowered... =) dude, if you like it.. get it.. no point of getting something you dont like but other people really like. in the end you're the one thatll be looking at it everyday.

Dont worry what everyone else says, there all jdm, hahahaha

There a Expensive brand japanese wheel,

I used to see a indo owned black euro dumped with those wheels around market city back in 2005, it was beautiful,

I think they look great as long as u deck the car, but u have to deck the car or else they will look shit as it is a full faced rim with a unique style and it will look to busy.

Also by the looks of the rears they will rub, once lowered what are the specs of the wheels?

True^^^ what Ash said, those wheels will rub agains the coilovers if you lower it without camber kit. and u wont be able to lower it much, soo much dish and the tyres are too thick.

ooohhhhh man.. u will definitly need camber kit, with the rear if you want no finger gap drop, ull need to roll your guards. if you dont have camber kit, u might need to get spacers to avoid the wheels hitting the suspension. Good luck man, dw my wheels did not fit on my car, but if you love those wheels as much as i love mine, u will find a way to make it fit. i did! =)

I don't think you need camber kit as i'm running 19x9.5 +35 for my rear wheels but i'm using 235/35/R19 for my tyres. What's the spec of your tyres?
