View Full Version : Buddyclub racing spec headers OEM heat shield doesnt fit
hi guys..
i have just installed an aftermarket headers (buddyclub racing spec) onto my Type S and man it sounds great!! but im having problem fitting the OEM heat shield back in... is there an aftermarket head shield i need to get? or do i need to get customized heat shield? i didnt get to wrap my headers..

of course doesnt fit mate. normally people dont use heat shiled when they change to aftermarket headers, you can get heat wrap if you like.

don't think the headers are visible in the engine bay of a DC5R.. correct me if i'm wrong..
The OEM headers is not visable cuz of the headshield.

As has been discussed in a previous thread (About Toda headers), the OEM heat sheild dosn't fit on aftermarket headers. The heat sheild is not required... and you don't need to wrap or make a custome one.
If the install was done correctly you won't have any problems with anything burning/melting etc.
