any1 know where i can get a d-series cover like this one with the vtec emblem on it. needs to fit d16y8

youl have to try ebay or wreckers. Honda only sells the HONDA ones last time we looked

as he said. EG VTi will have that cover.

so even though its of a y1 motor they should still fit a sohc d16y8

the rocker cover design is the same for y1, y4, y8. they are interchangeable.

or if someone can confirm the otherwise

yes, as we looked for aother one for a y1 with vtec, honda only has the Y8 ones new. Thats what was recieved
