sounds like slipping clutch to me.....
try driving in gear 4 at around 60 and floor it. see if it does the same thing.
if it does its slipping clutch

lets all join the club...lol...clutch slipping!!!!
A few ways of checking but the main one would be either 3rd, 4rth or 5th gear cruise between 60-80 then floor it if it over revs then tries to catch up change the clutch...

the problem with throwing the sports clutch in, is that it can cause more damage than the oem... to the gearbox that is, better to put oem in....

engine speed increases with no increase in vehicle speed. clutch slip.
possible reasons:
*worn clutch plate
*weak diaphragm spring
*clutch plate is oil soaked by leaking rear main seal
warped pressure plate or flywheel
taken from haynes service manual (civic 92-95)
maybe check it out first before buying a new clutch. whats the kms in odometer?
