hi guys... got a mates car having a problem with his tyres ( its what i guess) its a relatively new euro... when you drive the car you can hear humming noise coming i think from the front end... sounds like... VmmmmVmmmmVmmVmmVmVV and when you go fast enough it doesnt disappear but becomes a single note of humming... its really obvious only on smooth quiet roads... it sounds like the tyre has a flat spot... but not sure... what causes a flat spot and would balancing the tyres and swapping them to the back do any good?

thats a hard problem to diagnose.
could be one of a few things...
wheel bearing, something stuck in teh wheel, driveshaft..
its a bit hard to diagnose something like this over the net, best to take it to a mech, esecially if its a pretty new car, still should be under warranty

Not 100% but maybe a wheel alignment and balance will fix it?
